Job Description: Looking for someone to help cover our STAT requirements (2 hour TAT) between the hours of 9AM and 6 PM (CST) Monday through Firday. You have to be able to play and transcribe .wav files. These are mostly psych files. Occasionally, there will be some (1 or 2 per month), surgery center files. If you are already transcribing for someone else, this is the perfect thing to supplement your pay. Expect $400 to $450 per month. If you are not currently employed with someone else at least part time, we will not consider you for the position. The normal routine is that there will be only a few files (1 or 2) each day and the files are normally about 3 to 7 minutes in length. You will receive an email indicating there is a STAT file for you and you will then browse to our website and retrieve the file. We pay 10 cents per line, where a line is based on a standard 65 character count including spaces.
Hardware/Software: You provide your own equipment/tools. Must be able to transcribe WAV files into MS Word.

Formal training or equivalent in work experience in medical transcription. A minimum of one year transcription experience is preferred. 2. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties. 3. Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices. 4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style. 5.
